Relationships can be tricky things. We’ve all got them - healthy or unhealthy, old or new, shallow and on the surface, or deeply trusted. But how well do you really KNOW someone - or yourself for that matter?
Wise Bride believes in two main areas of focus when it comes to relationships:
-
1. Personality Profiles (DISC theory - Dr. Robert Rohm)
-
2. 5 Love Languages (Dr. Gary Chapman)
How well do you know your fiance... or yourself?
PERSONALITY PROFILES:
According to Dr. Robert Rohm, when it comes to personalities, there are four basic types. Each person has a combination of all four, although typically there is dominance in one quadrant, with secondary and tertiary traits for balance.
You may find that you and your fiance sometimes have completely opposite ways of approaching things (even toward the same goal), and other times you have a complete meeting of the minds.
The law of relationships is that we look for people that we have commonalities with. Additionally, we find ourselves attracted to people that also are completely the opposite to us in nature - which has a way of balancing who WE are, just as we balance who THEY are. It’s remarkable how we do this so unconsciously!

LOVE LANGUAGES:
Do you know your love language? Yes, that’s right - your LOVE LANGUAGE? According to Dr. Gary Chapman, we all have one, and if we can tap into it, that *feeling* of love will stick around a LOT longer - in fact, Wise Bride would be so bold as to say ‘forever’!
Each one of us has a particular way in which we “love to be loved”. Yours might be different from your fiancé's, so it’s important that you both understand each other if you want to keep that spark alive!
A quick indicator of a love language is what you - or your fiance - does naturally. People tend to SHOW love in the way that THEY want to be loved!
Out of the 5 Love Languages, we generally have one strong tendency, with a secondary or even tertiary trait. Which one speaks to you? Which one does your fiance respond to most?
The 5 Love Languages:
-
1.Words
-
2.Acts of Service
-
3.Quality Time
-
4.Gifts
-
5.Touch
